Disqualification
If you can't make it to the event ahead of time, let a TO know and we can remove you from the bracket.
Please make sure you're at the bar in the VS. City room and registered BEFORE the bracket starts. Once called to your station, you need to play your match within 5 minutes. If you're late to the match, you'll be DQ'd for that set. If you'd like to take a moment before your next match, please inform a TO and we won't disqualify you (within reason).
BYOC
Make sure to bring your own controller, compatible with PS4 Consoles! Don't forget the cable as well. If you'd like to use a controller that isn't compatible with the PlayStation 4, then you should acquire a Brook Gaming Converter, as those work on the consoles we provide.
Smash Bros. players will also need a controller compatible with Nintendo Switch.
No guarantee adapters or controllers will be available for free usage.
Stream Details / Commentary
Tri-Calamity will be streamed on the Akihabara Arcade Twitch Channel, and VODs will be uploaded later to the Akihabara Arcade Youtube Channel.
If you'd like to help commentate one of the games, speak with a TO before the bracket. We'll have two commentary slots available at any given moment for each game.
Entry/Venue Fee
All fees are paid in cash only. The bar has an ATM, MAKE CHANGE AT THE TO DESK, NOT THE BAR.
The Venue Fee is $10. This goes to the TO's, as well as the Bar itself, and helps keep events going. You can have your venue fee discounted by talking to a TO about bringing a console with the right games on it to the event. Only so many fees will be discounted.
Each game has a $5 entry fee, this goes to the prize pool for that game. Payout depends on the number of entrants in each bracket.
PRE-REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT BEFOREHAND WILL GIVE YOU A VENUE FEE DISCOUNT OF $5! PRE-REGISTERING HELPS US, AND HELPS YOU!
Payout
Payout depends on the number of entrants.
For brackets with 9 or less entrants, the scale is as follows:
1st: 70%
2nd: 30%
For brackets with 10 or more entrants, the scale is as follows:
1st: 50%
2nd: 30%
3rd: 20%
