Founded by the King of Colorado and run by Mile High Burst and Buttons on Wake Up, Winter Showdown is the largest Fighting Game Tournament in Colorado. Featuring 16 tournaments across 3 days in the Japanese themed bar with dozens of arcade machines, the competition has never been fiercer or more fun. With new features such as an Artist Alley, Free To Play Cabinets all weekend long, and more! This is the Colorado Tournament you don't want to miss! All Passes Come with Unlimited Access to All Free To Play Arcade Cabinets in the Versus City Room for the Whole Weekend!

Early Bird Registration

- $35 until November 13th

Normal Registration

- $50 Until January 31st

Late Registration

-$65 until February 14th

Spectator Passes - $15

  • Passes can be purchased online with a start.gg account or at the door. Spectator Passes are good for the weekend and give access to all free to play arcade games on the Versus City Side.

Payouts are calculated by number of entrants multiplied by bracket fee. Additional prize pool bonuses from sponsorships and donations will be applied and distributed with base prize pool.

We host tournaments on a biweekly basis, with some events planned as our monthly event where we run over 10 games for brackets to bring the entire community out in full force! Join our discord to be up to date with other announcements!

Venue fee is $10: this will be split 50/50 between the Bar and the TO staff.

All Fees are to be paid with cash only on site! There is an ATM next to the men's restroom for you convenience, and please make change at the bar!

We offer discounts for set ups, with the venue fee being discounted $5 to people who bring an accepted set up (listed below) for tournament play. This includes full DLC and the current patch of the game. We have some monitors on site but encourage players to bring their own 60hz monitors as well to ensure we have enough equipment.

Schedule

Holiday Havoc will run from Friday December 6th, to Sunday December 8th. A more exact schedule will be released after late reg closes. Games run from 4PM to 10PM on Friday, Noon to 10PM on Saturday/Sunday.

Hardware

You must bring your own controller for all games, excluding Mystery Game. SF6 requires a PS5 compatible controller. Macros and Turbo Button features are disallowed.If you bring a valid setup (PS4 Pro/PS5 with appropriate games, no monitor necessary), you may be entitled to a discount. Speak with a tournament organizer (Melissa, JR121, Tanner) beforehand to see if you're eligible. Limited availability.

Masks Required

Masks WILL be required at Holiday Havoc for attendees in the VS. City Room. If you don't have a mask, pick up a free one at the TO Desk.

Event Rules

All players agree to the Colorado FGC Code of Conduct, players that are banned from venues or events upholding the COFGC CoC will be barred entry.

You MUST check in to your matches at the assigned time of your pool/bracket in person. If you do not show up to your pool within 15 minutes you will be DQ'd to Losers Bracket. If you are not present within 5 minutes after being DQ'd to Losers you will be removed from bracket entirely. If you need to step away for a short period of time (bathroom / water break, etc.) please notify your bracket runner. Player disagreements on rulings will be handled appropriately by your bracket runner.

Pay Outs

For Brackets of 40 or less people we pay out the top 3. Prize pools are generated from entry fees for the games. Pay out percentages are as follows:

  • 1st: 60%

  • 2nd: 30%

  • 3rd: 10%

Games will be streamed with commentary on our twitch channel! The main games are listed on the schedule, so tune in at the aforementioned times to watch!
