Bring Your Own Controller

Everyone is required to bring their own controller and connection wires to play for tournament.

Your controller must be compatible with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. If you would like to use a non PlayStation controller, then you must bring your own converter. We recommend Brook Gaming converters

Below are controller types that are natively supported by PlayStation 4:

  • PlayStation 4 Dual Shock

  • Arcade Fight sticks by Mad Catz, Quanba, and others that are specified for PS4

  • Hitboxes and other variations

  • Hori, Victrix, and other fight pads that are explicitly labeled as PlayStation 4 compatible.

Street Fighter 6 Players Must Have PS5 Compatible Controller

Street Fighter 6 will run on PlayStation 5 consoles with the PS5 version for reduced input delay. DualShock 4 Pads will not be compatible. Please make sure your controller is compatible with a PS5 if you are competing in Street Fighter 6. Below are listed natively supported controllers on PS5:

  • DualSense and DualSense Edge PS5 Pads

  • Official Sony Licensed Fight Sticks

Brook Gaming have developed a converter for PS5 compatibility that works with any wired controller, including PlayStation 4 supported controllers. Purchase yours today here:

Disqualfication Rules

Punctuality is important for running tournaments. Arrive and be present in the play area at least 15 minutes before your bracket is scheduled to start. Check in with the Tournament Organizers (TO) and pay entry fees.

When your match is called, you have 5 minutes to report to the station the TO tells you to play at. If you are not at the station to play within that time, and you did not communicate with either your opponent or the TO about using the restroom, getting a drink, or any other reason to not be present within those five minutes you will be disqualified (DQ'd). When you are DQ'd, you are removed from the winners bracket and placed into the losers bracket. If you are in the losers bracket and are DQ'd then, you are out of the tournament.

DQ's are rare at Biweekly and Monthly events. The best thing you can do to avoid being DQ'd is to inform TOs if you have something important to do where you need to step out.

You will not be DQ'd if you are playing in multiple brackets at the same time. The TO's will communicate with each other on where you are and keep you within any brackets you are competing in as long as you are there.
